Nice apartment, four bedrooms & two terraces. Very flexible on swapping! Easy living, discover Norway. Train, 30 min. to Oslo, 1 hour from airport! https://www.visitoslo.com/en/
We reside in a charming semi-detached house spanning 150 square feet, spread across three levels, nestled in a serene neighborhood just three kilometers from the city center. It's a haven for children to play right outside our doorstep. The bus stop is right outside our house, which runs once an hour. Within 20 minutes you are in the center of the city and the train station. Take the train to Oslo and experience the new Munch Museum, the new National Gallery, the Norwegian Opera or the wonderful Vigeland park.
Our home boasts three bedrooms, an additional office with a bed, two bathrooms, and two cozy living rooms. As an eco-conscious family, we own a Kia Soul electric car and provide two bicycles for your convenience.
We are very flexible with regard to the length of time and periods.
Our city, Drammen, is nothing short of exceptional by Norwegian standards. Situated 40 kilometers west of Oslo, it's a mere 40-minute car or train ride away. With nearly 110,000 residents, Drammen ranks as the 6th largest city in Norway. The city is divided by the picturesque river, "Drammenselva," and in recent years, it has undergone a transformation with the creation of attractive park areas along the riverbanks, complete with charming beaches and idyllic waterfront spots. Surprisingly, you can sunbathe and swim just 100 meters from the city center.
Drammen received a prestigious European award in 2008. Moreover, Drammen serves as the ideal base for exploring the capital, experiencing Norway's natural beauty, including its fjords and magnificent mountains.
Within a 30–45-minute drive, you'll discover pristine beaches and tranquil rock formations perfect for swimming and sunbathing. A mere 10 minutes from our residence, there is a public waterpark offering delightful entertainment for children. For those inclined towards salmon fishing, the "Drammenselva" is renowned as one of the best rivers in the country. Notably, two of Norway's top-notch amusement parks are easily reachable within a two-hour drive.

Kari, 66 years old, was an intensive care nurse who worked at the state hospital in town, she is now retired. Terje, 65 years old, who is a former teacher, works in his own company as a journalist, examiner and event producer/booking agent. We have been married for 40 years, and we have three grown children and four lovely grandchildren.
Our eldest son, Jorgen, is a teacher in elementary school, lives near Trondheim with his wife Solveig, who is a graduate in psychology. They have two young girls. In addition we have a son of 33 years with a bachelor's degree in History and English - who works as a librarian. Kristin, our youngest daughter at 32, following in her mother's footsteps - soon to be a healthcare nurse. She has two children.
Lifestyle
In addition to traveling, we enjoy cycling and walking in the wonderful national parks in Norway and in the surrounding area. We are also fond of cultural experiences and concerts and festivals. As a family, we have also arranged many such things ourselves. The extended family is most important in everything we do.
