Large, private house in the countryside 40 minutes from Dublin
Our home is 280 sq meters, on a large, private site. It was built in 2009. It has 4 bedrooms, a playhouse, football and basketball nets, bicycles for kids and adults and a lot of books and board games. We live in Monasterboice, famous for its monastic site and the finest Celtic crosses in Ireland. We are within 15 minutes of the Boyne Valley, Newgrange, Battle of the Boyne and historic Drogheda. Dublin airport is 35 minutes away, with Dublin port and city centre just 40 minutes drive.

Nearest Airport: Dublin - 40km
Monasterboice is a rural community, around 4 miles north of Drogheda, and 30 miles from Dublin.
It is home to the world famous Monasterboice monastic site, pictured below. Newgrange and the historic Boyne Valley are within 15 minutes. There are 4 beautiful beaches within 10 miles, with Clogherhead offering water sports and cliff walks. Thrill seekers are sure to enjoy a day at Tayto theme park, just a 30 minute drive away. Whiteriver Karting, 10 minutes away, is one of Ireland’s premier outdoor Karting venues. There are many golf courses within 30 minutes, including Baltray, a 10 minute drive away, where Shane Lowry shot to stardom winning The Irish Open as an amateur.
The world famous Slane Castle, a concert venue of renown is around 10 miles away, with Trim Castle, the setting for Braveheart within 40 minutes. The Cooley Mountains are but 30 minutes away, where history buffs can follow the Táin Trail of the mythical legend of The Brown Bull.
Dublin City Centre is a 40 minute drive, and Belfast is just an hour and 20 minutes north.
Monasterboice, whilst close to a large town, is a tight knit rural community. We have two local restaurants, The Monasterboice Inn( 1 mile away) and the Valley Inn ( 3 miles away). Drogheda has a wealth of restaurants, two cinemas, a play park, bowling, a skate park and many other amenities to keep your family entertained.

About Our Family
Triona and I are both teachers, and have a love of travel, sports, music, reading, outdoor activities and nature. We have four children; two girls and two boys, born between 2009 and 2017. Our children love sports, and are involved in soccer, athletics, gymnastics and swimming. We are an easygoing family, and love visiting new places.
