Aachen is the westernmost city of Germany, located along its borders with Belgium and the Netherlands 65 km west of Cologne. It takes a 20 minutes drive by car to come to the beautiful city of Maastricht.The nature reserve EiIfel Nationalpark is about a 20-minute drive of Aachen. In Aachen are several historic sights of which Aachen Cathedral is the most impressive: It was erected on the orders of Charlemagne in 786 AD and was on completion the largest dome north of the Alps.
