Berlin, Germany

Our stay in Berlin at the home was truly terrific. The apartment on the 5th floor is bright and interesting. Lots and lots to look at and see, reflecting the families interests and lifestyle. The apartment was very comfortable and warm with everything you would ever need. Very quiet even though very close to the city centre with extremely good transport U bahn & tram links a couple of minutes walk so ideal for exploring the city and further afield. Very easy access to the airport by S & U bahn. The family were brilliant and they certainly looked after my apartment extremely well. They were a delight to communicate with - very easy for us as their English was perfect. Very charming and caring. Lots of good information before and during our stay. A pleasure to have exchanged with them.

Their apartment was lovely- very interesting, comfortable and clean. We met the family for an hour or two which helped to know what was where. They were very friendly and generous and had been very helpful with our queries in advance. However, I had not thought to ask about a lift-there was none and we were on the 5th floor. Also the apartment had little or no blinds which made it difficult to sleep in the early morning and might have helped keep some of the sun and heat out. We knew in advance there was no air conditioning. We were very centrally located -and public transport was excellent. Their car was great and had air conditioning-unlike ours at home. Berlin is a really interesting city but I would not go in the height of summer again. We don't expect or give perfection in a home exchange but blinds would be a good addition! Obviously this would not be an issue if exchanging in winter! Overall we had a great holiday.Thanks.

The flat is in a very central neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby. Metro and tram stops are just a few meters away, which makes getting around the city very easy. The host family has been wonderful and made our arrival at the flat extremely smooth and welcoming. El apartamento está situado en un barrio muy céntrico y con un gran número de restaurantes, tiendas, galerías, etc. Tiene paradas de metro y de tranvía a pocos metros. La familia alemana han sido encantadora en todo momento y nos han facilitado mucho la llegada a su apartamento.

Ja alla uppgifter stämmer. De var jättetrevliga och svarade snabbt på våra frågor. Allt funkade väldigt bra. Boendet i sig är bättre än det framstår på bilderna.
