House in Hastings On Hudson, NY, USA
We are situated in Hastings On Hudson, a small town 24 km north of NYC. Trains from Hastings usually run twice every hour to Grand Central Station in the heart of New York - so you are never more than about 30 minutes from the many attractions that the city has to offer.
Our house is located in a quintessential New England village, right on the Hudson River. It has a surprising number of great restaurants for such a small place. There are also bike paths and plenty of places to walk and hike. You can even kayak on the river!
Our small cosy home is, in contrast to New York City, quiet, private (on a cul de sac so no through traffic) with all the conveniences you could need. It may not be the prettiest house from the outside, but we think it's a really comfortable and pleasant home to spend time in. Staying here you will get the best of both worlds!
Also to note: we have done a home exchange with a family in France on this site before, but since it was in our old house, it says we have not exchanged before.

Great neighbours. All very friendly and helpful.
We are less than a 10 minute walk from the centre of Hastings. The house is also close to a walking path named 'The Aquaduct Path' which runs for many miles in both northerly and southerly directions. Lovely for a morning or evening stroll.
The town of Hastings has good shopping facilities, several parks, tennis courts and a great diner if you're feeling hungry! There is an excellent farmer's market every Saturday morning during the summer and once a month during the winter.
