Family house in the heart of the Netherlands... Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam are within reach in 1 hour only!
Anytime is a wonderful time of the year to walk down the canals in Amsterdam, salute Van Goghs museum, see Anne Frank's house, be impressed by windmills, taste dutch cheese, admire modern architecture in Rotterdam and enjoy the woods nearby.
Nice that you take the time to read about our house. In winter the fireplace or have a little fire outside in the garden, eat melting marshmallows, and sip from a glass of warm wine. Furthermore you see our kitchen, bathtub and livingroom. Upstairs on the first floor there are three bedrooms. The masterbedroom has a view on the garden, a 30 meter deep place with shade and sun under fruittrees. In the back of the garden there is an office type of second home.
We are a family of three: Arjen (1967), Michelle (1967), and Camille (2006). We have 2 cats that need to be taken care of while we are away. We live in Zeist since 2009. The enclosed garden is a safe place for small children to play with toys and water or read a book in the hammock or prepare a barbecue when the temperature is right! Our home is a pleasant place and suited for a (young) family. We indicate a maximum of six persons but can easily accomodate more than that, though you have to share one bathroom.
Zeist is a medium-sized town (60.000 inhabitants) in the heart of the country. It has a modern infrastructure and good connections with the 4 big cities of Holland: Utrecht(8 km), Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. Zeist has a well equipped modern shopping center with shops of diverse allure, a hospital, a cinema and a performing arts complex, a swimming complex and the Zeist castle from the 17th century. Zeist offers many opportunities for recreation and tourism. There are plenty of forests and beautiful nature locations in and around Zeist. Naturelovers who like to walk, bike or listen to the birds will be delighted to stay here for a while.
Because Zeist is in the centre of Holland, lakes for watersport in the north, beaches and tourist attractions like the Anne Frank-House, windmills Kinderdijk, Musea Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh and Stedelijk, can all be reached within the hour.
Of course you can visit the ongoing and never ending struggle for land against sea and water in Zeeland. Or maybe you would like to taste a variety of dutch delights such as cheese, salted herring, stroopwafels, or 'ontbijtkoek'.
